![]() Without having bots, you can kiss this game goodbye. This game will NEVER, and I mean NEVER maintain a strong player base. I get this sort of response from people who think adding Coop online play kills the single player experience so they say no too it which again is stupid. To say you are against something which would keep the game alive so you can keep playing it is simply stupid. It is the only way to save this game from dying. Thing is if no one plays then the game dies no matter if the game is given away for free.Īllowing for Bots to fill in the ranks is the way to go no matter if you like them or not. Just seems like this game will meet the same demise as verdun/tannenburg/blackwake/holdfast, and I don't wanna be a part of that again. I don't know many people who would wanna buy the game just to play against bots because of a low player count. | Civ 302:There is talk of bots.It goes like this:Īnother different rando: Ever thought about bots?īots does seem like a kinda cheap fix for a low player count. This is an ongoing legal case, and it's very interesting that Stardock is actually releasing this game without it being settled. However, Stardock's actions over the last couple years seem to indicate that they know they don't actually have the rights they claim. That doesn't necessarily mean anything since they may be keeping them for the actual legal battle. ![]() Stardock turned around and sued Ford and Reiche when they announced their new Star Control game, Ghosts of the Precursors, in 2017.Īt this point, neither group has produced any paperwork backing up their claims.
